About Us

Danefold is a family-run livestock farm situated in the beautiful Low Weald of Sussex selling Pasture for Life certified beef. We breed and rear pedigree Aberdeen Angus, Beef Shorthorn and White Park cattle.

Our cattle are all slow-matured, traditional native breeds, accessing a species-rich 100% pasture diet.

We are committed to a sustainable method of beef farming which respects the animals and their environment. We are very proud to be certified by Pasture for Life, which means that we are part of a movement of British farmers committed to producing animal products in the most ethical and natural way possible.

Our Beef

A selection of richly flavoured, 100% grass-fed pedigree beef direct from our West Sussex farm. Perfect for a wide range of meals, aged on the bone for a minimum of three weeks, then carefully prepared and packaged by our local artisan butcher.

Our beef is aged on the bone for a minimum of three weeks to intensify the flavour and guarantee a tender texture. Naturally marbled, well-flavoured and rich in omega 3 fatty oils, our pasture-fed beef is exceptionally tasty, flavoursome and succulent.

Due to popular demand, we are revamping our direct beef sales to friends, loyal customers and the local community. We realise that people have different requirements and enjoy the flexibility of selecting their own quantities of their favourite beef cuts, rather than an entire beef box.

The shop will have a selection of our cuts and joints and you can view all of these here on our website. Among other cuts, our most popular items such as mince, braising steak and rump /filet steak will be available.

Pop up Shop

Our new pop up farm shop will launching in December where you will be able to directly shop for and collect your beef.

The shop will be easily accessible via a entrance, across the front field with plenty of parking and easy turning space.
